We work with the Burke County School System to provide CIS model programs and services to students at the Burke County Life Center and Waynesboro Primary School. We provide general youth services to the other schools during such events as: career fairs, back-to-school celebrations, fall festivals, etc.
Such services include:
–Sight for Students. In partnership with VSP Eyes of Hope, we provide students 19 years old or younger who do not have eye care services and prescription eye wear covered through a private insurer and/or a government program.
–Back Pack Snacks (SGA). In partnership with Golden Harvest Food Bank, we are able to distribute Back Pack Snacks to students each Friday (https://goldenharvest.org/).
–Case management. Assisting students with staying on track academically.
